Last Chance for cool weather
Ok guys,
Erwin is putting out the word again for a "one last chance for cool weather" trip to Mt. Charleston Saturday morning.
Meeting is at the Starbucks on Durango just off the 95 in the Albertsons shopping center at 10:00 ( thats right off of the 95 ).
At 11,918 feet above sea level, Charleston Peak is the second highest mountain of the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area, and the highest point of the Nevada portion of the Toiyabe National Forest. It is the eighth highest peak in Nevada. The temperature on the mountain is usually 25-30 degrees cooler than that of Las Vegas, making it a nice place to go for a drive and picnic during the heat of July
Since I was in California for a wedding last time, I'm ready to go this time come Hell-or-high-water . . .

And when stopped for a vehicle inspection and asked why the brake pedal seemed to go just a little to close to the floor, the response was:
"I didn't buy this car to stop . . . it doesn't have anything on it that doesn't make it go faster!"
