Just go ahead and assume that everyone you meet is a dork.
If they turn out not to be a dork, it is a pleasant surprise. If they are a dork, it is not so much of a disappointment. Call people a dork right off the bat to see how they react. Non-dorks don't get as mad as actual dorks.
