Well it is the people, Flip and I met at a car show some years ago, been friends ever since. At the most recent 'cruise in' Flips better half, Jan, wasn't showing off the car as much as the pics of there new Grandchild!

Back then, it was tricky to register a replica, the law was not clear. "We" had various ways of getting the job done however. To own/drive a Cobra in those days you really really had to want one. When we would talk about going on a cruise together there was concern that to many Cobras driving together might attract to much attention (ya think?). We met at each others house instead and talked of Cobra's and Shelby and history, often late into the night. At times the ladies wisely withdrew to the kitchen while the 'history' debates and the nature of replicas vs originals was hotly disputed amongst the Alpha Males.

Eventually we got a law passed allowing for 100% legal registration and it was like a breath of fresh air! Suddenly we COULD cruise as a group, heck I felt like a kid again! Ahhh, those were the days, rebels we were, great memories of good friends with a common cause. We just wanted to drive our car!
