If it had COBRA and NHRA cast into the bellhousing, you must be referring to the optional scattershield, which was not a production item. They bolt up to the backing plate just like the original aluminum housing provided on the street cars. I am assuming you are not restoring one of the race cars, which would have come with the scattershield. Be sure to check the concentricity and flatness of the transmission flange. It has to be in line with the pilot bearing or you will wear the endput shaft. Best, Bob
