Howdy Jay,

Yes, I feel your pain.

Earlier this month I had to go to the VA. It was a very rainy day and I had to park over a 1/4 a mile away from the doorway into the VA because all of the parking spaces that were for the "Customers" IE Disabled Vets like myself were all taken.

By the time I got into the building, I was completely soaked. When I finally made to the desk to check in for my appointment, the 300lb woman that was sitting behind the counter, whom had never been in the military, muchless a disabled combat vet, started yelling at me because I was getting her floor wet. I explained to her about how far I had to walk in the rain to get inside the building because all of the parking spots were taken. She replied something like " I was lucky. Just as I got back from lunch, a man was pulling out of a handicap parking spot next to the front door, so I parked in it." I asked her if she had a handicap parking premit. She replied "No, but the police all know my car so it will be ok."

Atlest the rain had stopped by the time I got ready to leave.

Support the War, but screw the troops.

Paul
