I think I would take apart the slave cylinder. If you just take the rod out, and put thread lock on it, you may get threadlock on the seals. Also, you will not be able to keep the cylinder from sliping in the slave housing when tightening the rod. I would also buy the summit rebuilt kit if you have the Wilwood Slave. I think its like 13 bucks. Then you will have new seals and will not have to worry about any leaks in the near future. Hope I am understandable, had a few drinks
