Default Fly by wire for Gen IV Chev

Ok so plenty of people are fitting these new Chevs to their cars now. Since they come with a fly-by-wire pedal, I'm interested to hear what's involved. Any tips/tricks or gotchyas that you can share? Do they need calibrating and if so, what's involved? Etc.

I assume it's a case of taking the donor vehicle's pedal box and grinding off the accelerator pedal mount? Has anyone done this with the XF pedal box typically used on the Harrison kit?
