I've seen more than one set of FelPro or Ford Racing gaskets split at the ports and allow oil to be drawn from the lifter gallery.
Victor Nitroseals have a steel core and prevent this problem.
Pull the valve cover on that side and take a look at where the intake bolts past thru the intake gasket. Is the gasket centered on the bolt? Is the gasket flat against the head or is it wavey?
