You must be ignorant. The guy you are giving the money to does not own the car anymore than you do at this point. Until you have the title in YOUR NAME he does not get a penny. I have done this with the past two cobra's I have bought, they still had the car but the title was in my name, I got the car when they got the money. I realize there has to be some trust, so make them trust you.
