Thanks for all of the input. On a related topic - I am starting to install the sending units in the engine. I am told that the "correct" way is to seal the threads with a conductive sealant. The problem is that none of the parts stores have this.
Is this overkill ? Will the gauge readings be compromised if I use teflon paste ?
If anyone has used a conductive sealant where did you get it ?
