Jay is correct.
DOT 5 is not a good solution, two reasons: 1) is doesn't mix with the previous DOT3/4 in the system (which is difficult to remove from the system without fully removing the parts and cleaning seals,... 2) DOT 5 is NOT compatible with the o-rings and seals designed for a DOT 3/4 system
Don't fully understand? do a google search for yourself: "dot 4 change to dot 5". You will notice a trend for yourself. End of story: DOT 5 in your DOT 4 designed system is bad news. Unless you want to revisit this issue again a year or so down the line to replace more than fluid.
The advantage of an open forum is that everyone is entitled to an opinion; the disadvantage is you have to wade thru the "filler" to get a solution.
