Tan,

If I remember correctly, the side of the Battery Brain that says "Batt 12v+" would normally be connected directly to the positive terminal of the battery, and then the positive battery cable would be connected to the other side of the Battery Brain.

I can't quite make out from the picture how yours is wired, but I think it may be backwards. To make it work (I think) you should attach the positive cable coming directly from the battery to the "Batt 12v+" side of the Battery Brain, and then attach the other side of the Battery Brain to the stud on the starter solenoid. However, I know on my car, there would be some clearance issues if I tried to mount it where you are.

I am not familiar with the SPF battery trunk mount, but is there not some room on the side of the battery or on top?
