I agree. With my torque-strong FE, 3.54 rear and .64 OD, fifth gear on the highway is a dream. The wind noise is actually louder than the pipes when cruising at 65 to 80 mph and passing is not a problem. You
can't use fifth for road racing, but that's not what it's designed for. BTW, the first four gears will take you to 140, should you be so inclined. Let me tell you, being able to cruise gently and easily at 2000 RPM on the highway,
and talk with your passenger, adds an additional dimension to the joy of a Cobra.
