I ran a 3.07 open diff for a long time, and recently changed to a posi 2.88.I like the difference a lot for the street, slightly more relaxed freeway cruising and to be honest 60+mph in first is great. Some of the jag center sections have a round pinion input flange,This is a Salisbury. Some have a rectangle ,like a Chevy which bolts the UJoint with a shackle,These are Dana rear ends. This now brings the choice of Dana versus Salisbury.I like the Salisbury becouase it has flat clutch discs as apposed to the "cone "clutch in the Dana. The Dana also has holes drilled in the disc to enable you to remove the caliper, where as the Salisbury does not need these holes.
