I've been a fan of NASCAR for 30 years & must say, it's come a long way, not necessarily in the right direction though.

I didn't like the introduction of the restrictor plate, ever since then I think it's slowly been going in the wrong direction. Micromanaging by NASCAR, the constant rule changes (let'em race to the yellow), point system changes, the restrictor plate, the COT & now maybe the Engine of Tomorrow. You've got to be kidding me!

I'd love to hear Dale Earnhardt's take on this if he were still alive! No more drivers like him on the track except for maybe Tony Stewart.

I'll take the early days of NASCAR when the drivers were not afraid to put a bumper on somebody or settle their differences with other drivers out back behind the hauler. I'm glad I still have tapes of races from the 30 years ago that I can playback.

I never thought I would say it but the races today don't mean as much to me as they used to.

Wise up NASCAR!!

Randy
