NASCAR is now much more a show than a race. The drivers tend to be very well spoken and can mention all of the sponsors in a 30 second interview.
The cars and the rules are becoming a joke. First the cars: I do not believe that there is one single piece on any of these cars that can be found on a production automobile. They are no longer "STOCK CARS", period. They are spec race cars built for the Nextel Cup. They have stickers on them that indicate that they are a Chev or a Ford but they share absolutely nothing with the production cars.
Secondly the rules: there are so many stupid yellow flags every race that i can no longer stand to watch a full race. Then there is the rediculous lucky dog rule. If some one is a lap down, why in the name of racing should he be allowed to get back on the lead lap just be cause another ^%$@#! yellow flag comes out?
NASCAR is now a SHOW, plain and simple. This show has brightly coloured cars going round and round very quickly, until some of the big name teams require gasoline or a new set of tires, at which time a yellow flag comes out. Can't have pit stops when they are actually racing, that would upset the show.
Oh yea, one more thing. How can SPEED talk for hours and hours about NASCAR every day?
