Talking Newbie from Texas - sort of

I actually joined this forum back in 2002. I think that was shortly after I bought my FFR kit from a local guy. I worked on the kit about three weeks then the car sat collectiing dust.

I just started working on the car again and I am having a ball! Pulling out my hair and trying to figure out what to pieces to buy and how to make it all go together :-)

FFR1576K is the car number if that tells you how old the kit is. I think FFR is up to the 7000's at this point.

I have had to undo some of the work the previous owner did. I think he got in a hurry. This has not been too bad since I have learned a lot more about the car but it sure makes the build longer :-)

I am going to bore out the stock 5.0L and put a bigger cam in it. I already have GT-40P heads and intakes so it will get a little bigger pop.

I have the IRS rear end but what a headache it has become. I can not even get the frame piece into the frame. I think the IRS cage is bent and it will not sit right. Still working with FFR on a solution.

There is lots to do so I suspect there will be a lot of posts and questions.

James
