A good guess would be that the painting was done by Bill Neale.
I don't think there ever was an original Cobra that wore or raced with that livery.
There was a plan to make 'tribute cars' using CSX4000 platforms.

The owners of that early SAI Dealership were Bill Neale and Jack Bell. Original plans were for 10 cars, but maybe half were built before operations ceased. I saw the first completed car and the 2nd car maybe halfway finished in March of 1998. I think one car was headed to the Peterson Museum, and it was built out of sequence as the last number of the group. I have no idea where the cars are today or their owners.
