That would really depend on your individual car. Original CSX cars had small hood openings, so it would be important to check the fit. On most original spec cars the air cleaner barely goes through the hole, so it's not that big a deal. Many current Cobras have wider hood holes, so it's really not an issue, but I would definitely check the clearance to see if you need to trim it before closing the hood the first time
