I used body putty to bond a piece of 1" angle alum below opening. I rivited another piece of angle alum to the top of the vent itself. Then I glued velcro to the matching surfaces. The velcro holds the vent in place even on the track.

It's nice to be able to remove them when needed. Makes for easier access for everything in that area.
