I used to work in Foxboro which is at least 30 miles from the coast. The difference on a hot summer afternoon could be as much as 15°F, but 20°F would be a rare occasion. The big difference occurs about 1 mile from the ocean. You can feel the temperature drop. If there is an east wind, the temperature on the coast can be downright cold.
Sometimes on a cool day I drive inland where it is nice and warm in a t-shirt and shorts. But if I kept to the coast, I'd want long pants and a jacket!
That's why a jacket, gloves and a woolen hat are
ALWAYS in my trunk.
Ron - I was going to send you a dollar in the mail, but it had blueberry stains all over it.
