As a compromise, if there are different mufflers you want to use, why not buy them and have ERA weld them into your sidepipes instead of using their standard muffler. They can make the sidepipes up with any muffler you want. I know, I now have 3 different sets of mufflers
I have the standard ERA SS pipes. They are a bit loud! At least with my engine. When I am cruisin' at 55mph the sound level in the car is 96dBA at 60mph it is 101dBA. I use ear plugs but it is still too much for longer trips. I plan to do some surgery on my pipes during winter.

I have a quick release steering hub and I used it all the time in the beginning. But now when I have learned to get in and out I usually leave in place. However, it is covenient to be able to remove the steering wheel when you want to do some work on the inside of the car. And it is difficult to steal a car without a steering wheel.
