Remember that spring loaded "snick, snick" from 2nd to 3rd?
Oil leakage is indicative of a rear main seal, maybe it dried out over the year of sitting. I wouldn't think neoprene would do that. Also could be rear of the intake manifold, but less likely, or
oil pan gasket. All fixable by me without pulling engine.
But I've ordered the gaskets and seals, so it's just work. Any one want to learn how to work on an FE, gimme a call! The fun starts after this weekend's meeting.
