I understand the new Porsches have been improved quite a bit from the tail swapping standpoint, but, regardless, like Marcocsx3121 has experienced, properly set up original specification Cobras have spanked many a Porsche, as shown in these vintage shots (through a corner, no less):

As an analogy to newer cars, a recent My Classic Car TV episode had a track comparison between an older race prepped L88 Vette (I believe a '69) against a new Z06. The Z06 had some modifications of its own and just barely beat the old Vette after 5 laps on the very tight track, with a top professional driver. Back in the day, top 427 Cobras were spanking those older Vettes when comparably prepared, so that says alot about the potential of the Cobra, when set up correctly.
