I'd check all the main connections and grounds first and foremost. Then take the battery down to the local parts store for a test. You might take the alt as well. If you've got a multimeter you could also check the current on the battery while the car is running. I can't remember off the top of my head what it should read under load but if it is below the number, you have a bad alt.
