Jeff-
Are you talking about the Lowcountry Monthly article? No that wasn't me, that was Scott Kennedy in his red w/ black stripes CSX 4000 series. I think the number is CSX4427 (he was on a waiting list for the "427" number). He and his car were at the Concours show a couple years ago and we talked for quite sometime. Bobby Rahal was the honorary chairman at that years show and he drove Scott's CSX around for awhile thinking about buying it. Scott is a heck of a nice guy.
My car is Indigo Blue with Whits stripes, 427 S.O. built by Bill Parham @ Southern Automotive in GA. There used to be a solid Black SPF on the Island but I believe the guy sold it a couple years ago. There was also a Lone Star Cobra owned by a gentleman named Guy Foulke who works on Hilton Head, but I haven't seen him or his car in a couple years. I know a guy in Beaufort that has a nice FFR with a 427 S.O. and another guy that built a FFR Coupe. They usually hang out in Beaufort and attend a couple of shows there, but I did see him at the show in Sea Pines a couple months ago while I was down on business. While at that show I saw a solid White Cobra (I think it was an ERA), but I don't know if that guy lives on the Island or not (I saw the car but never saw the owner anywhere).
Are you building on the Island? When do you plan on moving? My wife and I keep going back and forth from Chicago to HH but if my business keeps booming down there I will be down a lot more often next year. This year it was about 50/50, 6 months in each area. I'm hoping next year it will be at least 8-9 months down there and only 3-4 months here.
There are a lot of folks down there from NJ, so you will feel right at home. My neighborhood is full of transplants from Jersey; I think NJ is second only to people from Ohio as far as transplants go.
Best of luck to you, and let me know when you arrive. -I'll probably be there if it's in the fall, winter, or springtime.
