I don't think anyone is claiming this to be a original cobra. Actually it might be considered a shelby illegitimate child, but could be made into a genuine, but still not original, shelby cobra with a csx4000 serial number with the right amount of money paid to the shelby people. Some might go so far as to say real shelby cobra.
Heck, I'm not sure what's up with Ford being allowed to call their current cars Mustangs. I highly doubt they are built at the same plants as back in the 1960s. They bear a fairly good resemblance to some of the Mustangs from the 1960s. But for all I know, they are imported from Canada or Mexico. We should all get together and decide to call them Mustang replicas!
