My memory is returning.....I placed some masking tape under the fender and then, using the oil tank filler hole as a guide I marked the masking tape by projecting from it to the fender....I then found the center of that mark and drilled the pilot hole - I then placed a piece of rod through the pilot hole and checked to see how close I was - it was real close. I then used a big hole punch to make the final hole - one of those Greenlea punches.
