I thought about that spot as well. My concern there was not being able to get a breaker bar and socket on the crank bolt from the top to turn the engine over when I do valve adjustments. It's already tight in there.
One of these days I want to figure out where to mount a Canton Accusump system. My only gripe with the
oil cooler thermostat is it takes a few more seconds of cranking the engine over to get
oil pressure. Not a big deal but the Accusump would take care of that.
