Jerry Clayton Jerry are you talking about cross drilling or gun drilling the cranks for a 180 degrees? If you find a couple of the old manuals for racing the FE motors they said not to fix the oiling hole to match the bearing holes. The off set holes acted as a limiter on the mains to oil each main and the 2 rod bearings. This is an old manual that talks about the oiling system. Roush machine cut open a FE motor and showed the galleys for the oiling system and how they got smaller the farther you get from the filter housing. Think the SO still is a better designed oiling system then center oiler. Rick L.
