Since everything depends on how you drive and where you drive ....I'm surprised there are such strong opinions for which is the better ratio transmission.

If you have a cam with a ton of duration it may be better to keep to wound up on the highway but then your mileage will be in the toilet not to mention the extra stress on your engine.

If you use the calculators here is what you get:3.55:1 gearing / 26" Tire

.82 @ 75 mph - 2800 rpm
.64 @ 75 mph - 2200 rpm

I'd run the numbers for how your going to drive the car and go with what works best.
