The only way to go quick is to have the gas on from the start line. As you have rightly mentioned you will need good traction to achieve this. A lot of N2O systems are multiple stage. You might launch with 150 of gas then increase to 250 when you hit second gear.

I'm not personally a big fan of funny gas because when things go wrong, they go wrong big time. If anything goes wrong in the fuel circuit, your motor is lunched, same deal for detonation. I have seen lots of bent rods, holed pistons and hammered bearings....
