I have the mechanical aptitude of a turnip even though I've been a surface mechanic (Ya know bolt on stuff) and wrenching on cars since a teen.

When I raced (Even though just a weekend warrior) I was a checkbook mechanic.

I always had a good crew chief and smart mechanics. All I had to do was learn the track, give good feedback and have a good time.

Now, (At 73 ) I finally woke up and am trying to learn to do more for myself. I'm finding that the small mechanical accomplishments can also be a lot of fun.

That's where this forum has been terrific for me and my steep learning curve.
