Yes, the hood hinge support bracket can either be welded or bolted in place. In your trunk the only support is the fibreglass but mine was about a 1/4" thick and has been in place since 2000 and my trunk has never sagged or moved since installation.

Take your time with the hood and set it in place without the hinges then going through the nose of the car mark the four bolts location on the hood before you drill and tap those holes. Also, I used a roll pin to center my hinge because you will find that it will have some spring to it and may not align itself without the roll pins. I also used a short 5/16" all thread rod on each side to help with the installation. It is easier to put a nut on than it is to start a stud.
