I've gone over 750 on the 4.25 Scat cranks with no apparent problems - tore one down and it still passed mag & looked good. No way to know long term life - these are only out for 3 years... I have not personally run the Scat 428 crank as hard but would expect about the same.
The best feature of the Scat 428 compared to the Ford piece is that the Scat is easier to balance internal.
Competitive road & oval track race action is tougher on parts than street use or drag racing. Road/oval racers should look at steel crank options for durability long term.
