KCR has custom cams
Rod knock KCR has custom cams from Comp cams that are hydro rollers. I have a 482 motor with a small crane 587-607". You have to remember that the larger the motor the more it makes a big cam more docile. I retard the cam to 6 degrees and idles great with just a little lope. The torque is a large flat range. Have not got it to the dyno yet but guessing about 450 hp and about 560-570ft. of torque. I have one of KCR's custom cams for my other motor. Hope to get it installed in the spring. I like 112 LSA on small motors and will go to the 110 on 450+ cubic inch motors. I like just a small lope idle. FI system also helps in idle control and not letting the motor load up. There are some guys on this forum that have gone from .650" lift cams down to the .620"s and are more happy with this motor and only gave up 20-40 hp. The gas mileage doubled and the driviblity improved alot. Matching heads, intake, camshaft, and exhaust for a certain power range is more important than how big is the camshaft. You can 800HP and not get this power to the ground. The life of the motor is also short unless it is a power adder motor with NOS,Turbos, or Blowers. The car will be a handful with the 482. I am very happy with my motor. A ton of torque to blow the tires off, and hauls when the rpm is at 2,600 rpm to 6,200 rpm. I do have some other work done to the heads that IMO help to add power power through the full range of the motor. I get no float od the valve train at 6,200 rpm and the motor is still pulling. I limit my strokers to this rpm and can always change gears from a 3.31 to either a 3.07 or 2.88. The carrier for the 2.88 is a little weaker than the 307 or 331's. You didn't say anything about your car for trans, rearend ratio, Tires, and fuel delivery system, ( carb, fuel injection, webers, etc.) With the size of your motor and running pumped gas, I think you will be happy with a cam in the 600-630".
