Thursday night (what I saw): There was a clean '70 396/375 Nova (silver) that went across the block last night for $50K. It was in a "well bought" range in the mid 30's, and in the last minute got ratcheted up to that higher level. Maybe has downstream potential within the sea of Camaros, Chevelles and Corvettes, but that's a lot of $$$ for
any Nova. There was also a custom chopper that went for $25K...also very well bought (if that's your thing) considering the craftsmanship and customization. A non-matching numbers '69 Camaro RS 396 (blue) also went for around $50K. What would you rather have for $50K?....clean '70 BB Nova, clean (but not pure) '69 BB Camaro, or (insert brand) clean Shelby Cobra replica?
Always fun to watch...would love to see it just once in person. Tough to guess which cars get what cash...some of these buyers on the tube don't look like they could afford a Yugo.
You have to have a good plan when you go there, and STICK TO IT.
