Any of the above will do the job nicely. With the right choice of cam and gearing you will have a drive train that will be a great all rounder.
The LSX series engines make awesome power completely stock. With a T56 6 speed and the right gearing you will have a stout track performer with great open road manners. The LS motors usually get great economy too becuause of the lean cruise mode the ECU goe into on the open road. That combined with the T56 0.5:1 overdrive will see the motor loping along at 1500RPM and probably returning better than 10L per 100KM.
