I added my pushers just for looks and have them switched seperately by a dash switch.
If I turn on the pushers before the thermostat trips the pullers, the motor doesn't actually cool down, it just slows the rising heat. Once the pullers turn on, the motor cools down quickly.
The pullers have a shroud around them, which makes them work twice as well. The pushers look great, but don't cool all that well.
