There's an 800 hp 514 listed on the Phoenix craigslist for only $4500, including a built C6 and 3500 RPM torque convertor. A blue oval buddy of mine knows the engine and says its all good components and profesionally built. I'd probably jump on it, if it wasn't a Ford.
