For all you SpyBot S&D Fans
I have just had an interesting, week long experience with my computer. I recently discovered that I could no longer manage my webmail email (comcast.net). I could read stuff, just not delete it. On top of that, it was intermittant...occasionaly I could delete some messages (webail, not outlook, etc). I tried everything, including contacting Comcast. No luck. All the time, the inbox kept filling up....Fast! I uninstalled my AV s/w. No help. I am using MSIE ver7, there might be a relationship. I tried the Opera browser, but the same problem was there too. Nothing I did fixed it. Then tonight, I looked under Internet Options and found a tab for Programs and a button for Manage Plugins. In there, I found two enabled plugins for SpyBot, one being named IE Protection. I disabled it. And now everything is fine! This is ver 1.5 of SpyBot, the newest one. I sent them a bug report. So, if you are using SpyBot 1.5 and are having browsing problems somewhere, keep this in mind.
