Hello Arthur,
I am with Tom on mounting in/on the passenger side of the firewall. All engine or non ECM connections are the weather proof type but NOT the harness to ECM. I do think it is best to keep away from engine heat and any possible moisture like a blown rad. hose or such. Other than maybe needing a little more finesse to mount in a tight or upside down area behind the dash or ?? it is just one time.

Another hint is attention to 02 sensor location. I have seen about a 20 % reading difference from heat loss of the exhaust gas if sensors are to far down stream. Mount the sensor as close to the engine in a common pipe as possible. It is all very worth the effort, you will love the performance and responsiveness Have fun
