I've run the Firestones from the beginning (255/60/15 and 295/50/15). They were very sticky when new. They now have over 10,000 miles on them and they still work ok. I like them.
I'm producing 561 hp at the flywheel, and I put my foot in it all the time, without worry. Of course, I have no frame of reference since they were the first ones ever on the car, but I'm happy with them.
