I agree with RodKnock,
If you can't get a few inches clearence between the highest lip on the choke housing & the air cleaner lid (as most of us can't) get rid of the choke & horn.
A properly set up carb will start with a few pumps, run & idle just fine in the coldest weather you would ever want to drive in within a few miniutes of warmup.
How do I know you ask??---Check out where I live, I drive mine untill the snow flies.
