blueovalfanatic, I misunderstood your question. I did not know you want to do your own body prep work. The Shell Valley body has a lot of the body prep work done at the factory. But there is still a lot of work that has to be done to get it ready for a show type paint job. Have you seen some of the other kit bodies? Rough, very rough. I have done just enough bodywork to know that I would not like to do it for a living. And fiberglass is different than metal bodies. In our group a few of the guys have done the prep work on their Cobras and let a shop spray the paint. Their paint job turned out real good.
I think you have to be born with the skill to do a "GREAT" paint job.

PS the Coupe will receive Black paint with a Silver strip. Black shows all the imperfection of the body. So, if you see an awesome black paint job, it took a LOT of work to get it to look that way.
