Heat shields are not cool.
It depends on your lady, is she a car gal or not? If she is she will be a lot more cognizant of the pipes and the potential for bodily harm. I always remind anyone who rides with me about the hot pipes. There have been numerous post's over the years on this subject. It gets down to this..........it is our duty as Cobra owners, knowing the danger, to warn others about getting burned on the pipes. Most people who know ANYTHING about cars are going to instinctively know that if exhaust comes out of the pipe, it's going to be HOT! We can't protect everybody from everything, but I have found that other than the issue of touching them upon exiting the car, it's really a non issue. If somebody runs up and grabs onto the tailpipe of my F150 when I pull up, well they get what the get.
