Back in my dirt track days, the cars that ran methonal fuel, added MMO as a top end lubricant cause the alcohol fuel is so "dry"...we ran gas in our car, but did occasionally put MMO in the gas, don't know whether it helped or not, but I don't believe it hurt anything, only added a little more lubricant to the top end of the motor........

BTW; have not used it in years except for my air tools........

When putting a motor together I use Lubriplate as an engine assembly lube......Since it is a piston engine aircraft assembly lube, I figured it would be o-k in my V-8 motors....an old aircraft mechanic told me about this, he uses it on all engine assemblys from a 3hp Briggs/Stratton engines to his 460 cu in motor in his F-250...............

He also told me when "fogging" a motor for long term storage, he uses atuomatic trans. fluid......starts the motor, keep it running while slowly pouring about 1/2 quart down the carb., then shut it off and pour the rest down the carb and manually turn the motor over 3 or 4 times and your good to go......
