Ug, my radiator decided to go pee-pee. Having it sent back to the MFG. hopefully as a free repair but since my car is now on stilts, I won't be doing any driving for about 2 weeks. It's ok. It now gives me a great excuse to do a few things I've been dying to do.
Need to repair a couple of ill-placed holes in my roll bars and then send it to get chromed. Next
oil change. I just realized I have not changed the filter in about a year. I drained it yesterday. I did find a sliver of metal but can't tell much from where it came from; rest is just fine metal powder (have a magnetic drain plug.)
Also need to replace a tranny spacer at the poly mount; right now, it's a stack of hardened washers... real professional looking....
I have a set of real spacers now so that's going in.
Also got around to buying an ignition switch!!! Yes, my car was pretty much ready to steal very easily. That will no longer be the case.
If the radiator takes longer than 2 weeks, I have an alumium rear end that I will swap out for the iron unit. It was too good a deal to pass up as Ford Racing wants $560-580 for just an aluminum housing and I got one with gears for just $100! So I won't save a lot on the weight but every little bit counts on a car that weighs less than 2500lbs.
Have fun gang!
