I am surprised no one mentions our President's failed ventures into Iraq.. It is amazing how a $2 trillion boondoggle in a country that had no WMD or Al-Queda now consumes a disproportionate amount of annual budget. If we were not so busy selling our debt to the Chinese the dollar would be stronger and the price of
oil would be much cheaper...
