Some folks might get the idea that R&G is just about a bunch of motorheads getting together and wasting a lot of good gas and rubber. Well ... that's part of it.

There is Six Flags which is 30 miles south of the city and there is the ride through the arch. One I highly recommend. If you like the casino action then you will love an evening along the riverwalk near the arch. There are several RV and camp grounds nearby too. So if you have a weeks vacation you can make the whole family happy by spending equal time at the theme park and touring the rest of what St. Louis has to offer. Then you can head over to the track.
When the day is done at the track doesn't mean the fun stops. Most of the particapants go out for the evening at one of the many fine restaruants in the area. There is also been some good conversations had at the pit garages too after the days over. Some of the guys and gals choose to hang around there and talk about the days events.
So if you plan ahead you can make mom and the kids happy too. Besides, I know for sure they will get a charge out of watching dad race around the track in his second most pride and joy.
